| GLENCOE CAPITAL APPOINTS DOUG PATTERSON AS MANAGING DIRECTOR
Chicago Firm Promotes Long-Time Principal; Patterson to Manage Fund III Investments
(March 1, 2009) Chicago-based buyout firm Glencoe Capital has promoted G. Douglas Patterson to Managing Director from Principal, effective immediately.
Patterson, who joined Glencoe in 2004 as a Principal, will assume primary management responsibility for the firm’s existing investments in its Glencoe Capital Partners Fund III, including investment review and portfolio oversight. He will also provide assistance as needed for Glencoe Capital’s Michigan Opportunities Fund.

Patterson has more than twenty years of experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and equity and debt financings. Prior to joining Glencoe, he was from 1991 to 2002 Vice President & General Counsel of Ivex Packaging Corp., where his responsibilities included negotiating, structuring and executing numerous acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and financings that contributed to the company’s growth from a private acquisition into a NYSE-listed company.
Prior to joining Ivex, Mr. Patterson was associated with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York, where he worked for a variety of private equity firms.
Patterson earned a B.S. magna cum laude in both Economics and Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, and a J.D. from Northwestern University.
