David S. Evans
Chairman and Managing Director
David Evans has 21 years of experience in merchant and investment banking, principal investing, and private equity, and has been directly responsible for over $1.5 billion in private equity investment transactions. In his leadership role with Glencoe Capital, Evans is also the Chairman of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to co-founding Glencoe in 1993, Evans was a merchant banking and mergers and acquisitions specialist at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette from 1985-87 and 1988-93. He also served as Associate Director of the University of Michigan's Growth Capital Foundation and as a principal of Handelsman & Co., a venture capital firm. Evans has also served as an expert witness for the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System with respect to certain of its alternative investments. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Gastro-Intestinal Research Foundation at the University of Chicago and the Visiting Committee of the University of Michigan. Evans earned a B.G.S. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Beth A. Satterfield
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Beth Satterfield has been a Senior Vice President of Glencoe Capital and the firm's Chief Financial Officer since 2003. In 2006, Satterfield also assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer for the firm. Before moving into executive management roles at Glencoe, Satterfield had extensive deal experience with the firm's funds, serving as a Vice President on our deal team for three years. Responsible for leading due diligence and deal structuring efforts for various Glencoe portfolio companies, she worked closely with the management teams at those companies following our investment. Satterfield is the firm's primary liaison with the banking community. Prior to joining Glencoe, she was a First Vice President in the Leveraged Finance Group at LaSalle Bank. She spent the first few years of her career in the Corporate Banking Groups of LaSalle and NBD Bank. Satterfield earned her B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois and received her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Louis J. Manetti
Managing Director
Louis Manetti has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joining Glencoe Capital in 2001 as its Chief Financial Officer. In 2003, he assumed responsibility for overseeing the operations of portfolio companies as the firm's Director of Portfolio Management. In 2007, Manetti was named Managing Director of Glencoe Capital, with responsibility for the firm's investment team. Prior to joining Glencoe, he was Integration Manager for Eastman Kodak Company, responsible for the integration of the CustomerFirst service and support business (formerly Bell & Howell Imaging Solutions) into Kodak. From 1993 to 2000, Manetti held various executive positions with Bell & Howell Company, including Vice President Operations and General Counsel of Bell & Howell Imaging. His responsibilities included executing North American and European-based acquisitions and joint ventures, managing, integrating, and restructuring acquired businesses, and establishing and evaluating financial reporting systems for multiple divisions. Prior to joining Bell & Howell Company, he was a Senior Manager with Price Waterhouse in Chicago, where he advised private equity clients on the tax structure of numerous transactions, conducted due diligence, and led in-house training sessions on corporate reorganizations. Manetti earned a B.B.A in Public Accounting from Loyola University Chicago, a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
G. Douglas Patterson
Principal
Doug Patterson has been a Principal with Glencoe Capital since 2003. Patterson has more than twenty years of experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and equity and debt financings. Prior to joining Glencoe, he was Vice President & General Counsel of Ivex Packaging Corporation from 1991 to 2002, where his responsibilities included negotiating, structuring and executing numerous acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and financings that contributed to Ivex's growth from a private acquisition into a NYSE-listed company. Prior to joining Ivex, Patterson was associated with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York where he worked for a variety of private equity firms. He earned a B.S. magna cum laude in both Economics and Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, and a J.D. from Northwestern University.
Jason L. Duzan
Principal
Jason Duzan joined the firm in 1997 and has fourteen years of experience executing, financing, and managing private equity investments in publicly-traded and private companies in a variety of industries, with a particular focus in consumer and business service industries. Currently, Duzan serves on the board of Glencoe portfolio company Child Development Schools, Inc. Prior to joining Glencoe Capital, he was at Harris Trust and Savings Bank, specializing in the food product and agri-business industries. Duzan earned a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Yana Krivozus
Analyst
Yana Krivozus joined Glencoe Capital in 2007 after two years as an Investment Banking Analyst with the Chicago investment banking group at J.P. Morgan Securities, where she worked on mergers and acquisitions and capital market advisory assignments in a range of industries. Krivozus earned her B.A. with honors in Economics and International Studies at the University of Chicago.
Mark Miller
Analyst
Mark Miller joined Glencoe Capital in 2007 from J.P. Morgan Securities, where he spent two years as an Investment Banking Analyst in the bank's Mid-Corporate Investment Banking division. Miller worked on various mergers and acquisition transactions and capital markets advisory assignments. Miller received his B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame.
